2026 Recommended Target Occupations List

Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas (WSNCT) 14-county service area includes Collin, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell and Wise counties.

Using labor market information and economic indicators, WSNCT is charged with the annual development of a Target Occupations List (TOL). This list helps the region identify in-demand occupations that are projected to have a significant number of openings – so as to have a significant impact on the regional and local economy. Additionally, these occupations are linked to a career pathway that leads to self-sufficient wages.

In building our TOL list, we examined occupational growth, wages, and education requirements. However, your local wisdom is needed to provide additional context to projected areas of growth, emerging industries and other factors that can only be gained through input from our partners.
