Child Care Payment Rates

Maximum Payment Rates

The North Central Texas Workforce Development Board establishes the maximum payment rates for Early Learning Programs that provide care for children receiving Child Care Services (CCS) scholarships. These rates are determined through a market rate survey conducted across regulated providers in the region and reflect the age of the child and the type and duration of care provided each day. Payments are made at the lower of the provider’s published rate (the same rate charged to non-CCS families) or the Board’s maximum payment rate, as required by Texas Workforce Commission rules. Enhanced rates may be applied for CCS providers who achieve quality certifications such as Texas Rising Star (TRS).

Payments are issued on or before the first Tuesday of the two-week payment period. Depending upon your bank’s processing time, it may take up to two business days for the funds to be available.

Provider Payment Responsibilities (Parent Share of Cost)
  • The parent share of cost (PSOC) is calculated on a weekly basis and is determined by the family’s gross monthly income and family size.

  • CCS providers must collect the parent share of cost (PSOC) from the family.

  • If a family fails to pay a parent share of cost (PSOC) to a CCS provider, the CCS provider must report the instance to the Board by emailing CCProviders@dfwjobs.com within three (3) business days after the due date of the missed payment.
