About Youth Services

At Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas, we are committed to supporting young adults and students in their journey toward successful and fulfilling careers. Our Youth Services programs are designed to provide the resources, guidance, and opportunities needed to explore career paths, gain valuable skills, and dispel common myths about local industries. Whether you are just starting to think about your future career or ready to take the next step, we are here to help you navigate your options and achieve your goals — at zero cost to you.

You Might Qualify if You Are…

• Ages 14 - 24
• An eligible citizen or non-citizen
• Facing a barrier, including if you are:
  • Living with a disability
  • A current or former foster youth
  • Without a high school diploma
  • Parenting or pregnant
  • Experiencing homelessness
  • Touched by the criminal justice system (misdemeanor or felony)
  • Limited in speaking, reading, writing, or understanding English

• Support Services: Get help removing the everyday barriers that get in the way of work or training — things like transportation, work attire, or the tools you need to get started.
• Paid and Unpaid Work Experience: Step into a real work environment with a local employer, paid or unpaid, to build the skills, references, and confidence you need for what's next.
• Entrepreneurial Skills Training: Have a business idea? We'll help you build it. Get hands-on coaching in budgeting, marketing, and the basics of running a business, so you can launch with confidence.
• Financial Literacy Education: Learn how to budget, save, and manage money so you can build a stable financial future.
