Nicole Bursey and Monica Hays Named to the North Central Texas Workforce Development Board

Arlington, TX – [November 24, 2025] – Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas (WSNCT) announces the appointment of Nicole Bursey, Executive Director of Frisco Family Services, and Monica Hays, Executive Director of the Forward Training Center of Hood County, to its Board of Directors. Both leaders bring deep experience in nonprofit management, workforce development, and community impact that will strengthen the board’s strategic direction and advance WSNCT’s mission to build a skilled, thriving regional workforce.

With a career spanning more than 25 years in human services and nonprofit leadership, Nicole Bursey is recognized as a passionate and strategic leader committed to improving the lives of others. Since 2011, she has served as Executive Director of Frisco Family Services, a $5-million agency that provides vital resources to individuals and families facing economic hardship. Bursey’s work includes setting strategic direction, expanding community partnerships, and ensuring efficient, compassionate service delivery across Collin and Denton counties. She is an active community volunteer through the Frisco Noon Rotary, Beyond ABC Advisory Board, and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, and is a Leadership Frisco Class 15 alumna.

Monica Hays joins the board with over a decade of experience in leadership, operations, and marketing across nonprofit and private sectors. As the Executive Director of Forward Training Center of Hood County in Granbury, Hays leads efforts to equip individuals with the job skills, confidence, and resources needed to overcome employment barriers and achieve self-sufficiency. Her approach integrates strategic planning, financial management, and collaborative community partnerships to advance the center’s mission of “transforming Hood County communities through education, collaboration, and hope.”

Hays is also deeply engaged in community service. She currently serves as Commissioner on the Granbury Housing Authority Board, Secretary of the Jobs for Life National Board of Directors, and Vice Chair of the Budget & Finance Committee at First Baptist Church of Granbury.
